Kysha - Adopted!
Kysha is a 13 yr old rotti girl. Her owners contacted West Coast Rottweiler Rescue asking for help in finding her a home. At first I told them no, as we don't usually do owner surrenders. But their other option was to put her down and after meeting her, I realized that she had much more to give. So a plea went out for a home for her. The most wonderful young lady stepped up to the plate! Not many people, young or old, are willing to take on such an old Rottweiler girl. Thirteen is very old for this breed but Kysha certainly isn't showing her age. Because we already had an approved home, Kysha came into our care on paper only. Her new mom went to visit her several times to ensure that everyone was going to benefit from this. She went into boarding for a couple of days until her new home was ready for her. Kysha has certainly landed on her feet! She lives with a evil little dog and tolerates him and his antics very well. She has gone for swimming to lose some weight and been to the vet for a checkup. WCRR covered part of the bill for Kysha to go for a health check. Not everything was a perfect as it seemed and while Kysha’s mom didn’t bat an eye over this, WCRR will help with the vet bills if we can. While our mandate is still to help and assist shelter dogs, we are thrilled that we were able to help Kysha into a good home for her senior years!
