As a courtesy, we have listed the dogs below so they can have more exposure and a better chance at finding their forever home.
Angel @ Vancouver Island
Age: 2 yrs old Breed: Rottie cross
Angel is a two year-old Rotweiler X Lab X Border Collie female. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, gets regularly monthly deworming/heartworm prevention, and has pet insurance. She is about 60lbs. She has a very definite Rotweiler face and a sleek lab/collie body.
She is very energetic and playful. Angel did not receive any training in the first 15 months of her life with her previous family. She is a good natured dog who needs a patient and dog-devoted owner who will take her to obedience class, agility, and regular dog park visits. Angel loves to play with other dogs; she is not aggressive to them but she has a difficult time controlling herself around small dogs, cats, and wildlife. We have tried to train this habit out of her; she needs someone who has more time, patience, and understanding in this matter so that she can interact with small dogs on a calmer level. She loves children; she is a wonderful family dog and just needs some help being more gentle with little ones. Angel also needs some help being at home without owners; she does suffer from separation anxiety, yet we think that might be because she needs more stimulation in her life. We used to take her to doggy daycare regularly when we lived in Nova Scotia and the separation anxiety was very minimal at that time.
Angel is very healthy; she recovered quickly from a severe bout of vaginitis that presented itself in August. There is a chance it can reoccur and we want the new owners to understand this fact. She also has a sensitive stomach; we have her on a fish/potato diet so we can keep her digestive system in check.
We are looking for a very understanding, patient, and dog-oriented owner for Angel. We want her in a household where she can flourish; learn to interact with other pets with gentleness and grace, join sports and get lots of exercise, and have the benefit of interacting with other dogs of her caliber.
Angel is a beautiful, sweet, and loving dog. She is always at our feet with her puppy eyes gleaming with the desire to make us happy! We just want to make her happy now, too!
