Adoption Information
WCRR has an extensive screening process to make sure that our dogs go to suitable homes. Please
email us for an application and we will explain the rest of the process, which includes a phone interview, reference check & home visit.
Belle @ WCRR
Belle is a mature (6 - 7) yr old female that found herself in a shelter. In the spring the shelter thought they had found her a home but last month WCRR was asked to take her into care as the family no longer wanted her.
She is a sweet sweet dog. Belle gets along with everyone and everything. She makes friend very quickly and is gentle with everyone. In the past Belle has had some issues with incontenence but since her weight loss program and regular access to the outside there has been no problems. Belle is on a food that is not only reasonable in cost but has done her a world of good. She is getting regular suppliments that help with her joints. She does have torn liaments in her back legs but again since her weight loss she is much better and our vets don't recommend any intervention.
Here is what we would love for a home for Belle.
She loves other dogs, Young dogs, old dogs, puppy dogs. She loves them all and we would like to see her to go a family that already has a dog or has many dogs visiting.
We want Belle to live inside your home. But she's an older girl and needs bathroom breaks so either someone that is home during the day or that has the ability to allow her access to the outside.
While she can manage stairs, we would prefer that she not have to do many of them.
Older children should be just fine.
This girl deserves a chance at a home that will look past her age and see the love she has for everyone.
The pictures don't do Belle justice. She is a little camera shy. But this girl is beautiful, inside and out. If you think you can offer Belle the life she so deserves please ask us for an application.

Title: New news on Belle
What a total sweetheart Belle is. Belle got to meet some young children. And she loved them. She is a food thief so she will have to be watched around kids, but she would never harm a child on purpose. Bell is getting stronger and stronger every day. She is now attending swimming with http://www.k9h2o.net and is having the time of her life. While she wasn’t too sure to start with, she is now doing laps in the pool and building muscle tone as she goes along.
Belle still needs a home with very few stairs and she will need carpets or rugs to walk on as she finds smooth surfaces slippery. There are a few other tests we have scheduled for this girl but she is ready and waiting for that special home to welcome her into their hearts.

Title: Good news for Belle
This sweet girl has made her foster family fall in love. I kept asking for updates until finally they told me they would like to adopt Belle.
This girl will not be adopted until her next ultra sound. If she needs surgery, WCRR will do that for her.
