WCRR has an extensive screening process to make sure that our dogs go to suitable homes. Please email us for an application and we will explain the rest of the process, which includes a phone interview, reference check & home visit.

Ace @ WCRR

No he is not a Rottweiler. We were told he was but we could not see much rottie in this boy.

Ace came into our care when he found himself homeless because his young owner had taken on more than she had counted on. He was an untrained 11 month old boy that needed structure and leadership. He easily could have become too unruly for the average family to handle. But we soon found that given a chance, he made a great family companion.

Ace loves other dogs and we knew that he needed playmates to keep him busy. He also needed someone with experience with big dogs that could give him the direction he needed. He needed to be given a life with consistency, love, and guidance. And we managed to find that for him.

While I initially was a little wary about Ace around small children, he quickly proved himself. He loves the children he lives with. He adores his new mom and dad. He is having a great time playing with the resident female that he allows to boss him around. And he has learned to respect the cat. What more could a dog ask for.
