Jake @ http://bigheartrescue.com/
Jake was a sad thrown away stray who was found in a remote First Nations community 4 days after he was badly injured by a car.
He was flown into the loving arms of Big Heart Rescue and taken immediately to the vets office for an assessment.
It was discovered that Jake is thought to be approximately 1.5 years of age, a Lab x Rotti mix and due to the extensive injuries he sustained he has just under-gone a rear leg amputation.
This sweet soul is emaciated and will need to gain approximately 25 pounds to bring him up to an ideal weight of 85 pounds. He has been vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and tattooed.
Through all his trauma, his pain and his broken heart this boy reached out with a soft kiss to those who rescued him. He became a favourite at the vets office as he melted hearts with his kind brown eyes and is now in a medical rehab foster home where he can begin a new life, one filled with meeting all his wishes and dreams.
His foster home adores this young man and Jake loves being around his other dog and cat friends, all of whom he gets along with.
Jake is not yet ready for adoption but we are accepting applications for this true survivor and will begin the process of ensuring he finds his forever and perfect match.
