Adoption Information

WCRR has an extensive screening process to make sure that our dogs go to suitable homes. Please email us for an application and we will explain the rest of the process, which includes a phone interview, reference check & home visit.

Sadie @ WCRR

Meet Sadie. she is about 5 yrs old. She is currently with our vet boarding until we can find a foster home for her. At this time we aren't completely sure what is wrong with her. We have ruled out Mange but she will be seeing a specialist on Tues at Canada West for more testing.

Sadie needs 3 things.

1) she needs foster care in the area. she needs to go to Canada West in Vancouver for testing/treatment and she needs to see our own vet in langley. This girl appears to be great with dogs, cats and most likely very tolerant around kids. she adores people and only wants to be next to you. Her story is long, involved and sad. Enough to say, everyone in Sadies world has let her down. WCRR is going to do everything possible to help her.
2) Her vet care is very expensive. and her recovery may be months. For the first time every, I am asking for financial help. We can't do this alone. We need to find a way to get monies for her ongoing care and a special diet. I know times are tough for everyone but no donation is too small.

3) Sadie needs your prayers. She needs good energy sent her way. This sweet lady is quite down. Not only is she missing her owners, her illness and weight loss have left her listess.

If you can help in anyway please let us know

Title: Sadie is doing better
Sadie continues to get better little by little. We will now consider a home that is willing to foster to adopt as long as they are able to meet her requirements. She needs to stay on her raw food diet; there are supplements she requires and regular bathing with medicated shampoos. She has good doggie social skills but rarely plays with dogs. But she does love her toys and amuses herself that way.

We would like a home with other dogs that can show Sadie there is nothing to be anxious about. She would not do well left alone for long periods of time.

While she is not destructive, when she becomes anxious, she does start the cycle of licking her body and causing skin breakouts.

Title: Sadie has left the building
We knew that sooner or later Sadie would have someone fall completely and totally in love with her. And it has happened. Sadies foster mom could not bear the thought of Sadie one day leaving and after much discussion, we have agreed for Sadie to be adopted. WCRR will always be available to help this girl with her ongoing medical issues but as of now, Sadie is in her forever home.
